A peek at my 4th fabric collection, Loyal Heights!

It’s not news that when I go quiet here, it’s because i’ve been busy! Busy  keeping up with my growing boys and squeezing in work when I can. And boy is it satisfying to see my hard work come full circle! 🙂 That being said, I’d love for you to meet my 4th fabric collection called Loyal Heights. She might be my favorite one yet, but shhhh, don’t tell the others 😉

I will be in Houston, TX this November for Fall Quilt Market at the Lecien booth debuting this collection. It will be available for shops to order this Fall, with shipment to stores in Spring 2019. I think it’s quite the perfect collection to come out during Spring time with all these fresh colors.

Below is a tid bit behind the inspiration for Loyal Heights. It’s the best feeling finding inspiration from my everyday surroundings!

Nestled in the northern corner of Seattle is an older neighborhood called Loyal Heights, sprinkled with early 1900’s craftsman homes, cottages and urban gardens galore. Home is where the heart is, abundant with love. And where you find love, you will find beauty. Summer strolls admiring blooms and fruit trees, and walks to school in the golden foliage with my children inspired this collection. Look closely at my fabrics and you’ll see the cozy cottages nestled among the flowers. I hope Loyal Heights brings forth a sense of Home, wherever it may be, as it’s a comforting feeling that lives within all of us.

Anyway, this is a more of a sneak peek to show glimpses of the collection. I started working on this diamond English Paper Piecing project (don’t look too closely, i’m a newbie!) using what little samples i’ve received so far. When I get more fabric in, you can expect more detail shots. And there are A LOT of details in this collection. As mentioned, you’ll find little homes nestled among the flowers. One of those homes is my own! 🙂 I literally walked around my neighborhood and took pictures of the cute cottages, drew them in illustrator and made them into this lovely fabric! I truly can’t wait to share more with you.

Anyhoodles, thanks for stopping by. With back to school comes the influx of sickness. Such a nice welcome-back-to-school gift for all 😉 I’ll be taking care of this sick little monster today… 🙁

Until next time…!

Love,

Jera

I love these! I think with each new collection from you, I have a new fave. What fun that you’ve incorporated your own house among the other cottages and flowers. Is that it in the pink and white closeup? So sorry about Simon, I remember back when the kids would be healthy all summer and get sick right after school started 🙁 Sending a big squishy hug for him and wishes to feel better soon!

I think the new collection is my favorite as well. Children do seem to get sick just when you construct a massive to do list because you think they will be at school or camp all day, don’t they!

Hi, just came across your blog. Love the colors and you are from Seattle… love it! I grew up across from the SeaTac airport… such sweet memories. My dad worked at several of the radio stations there in town. KJR, KOL, and others I can’t recall. The name of your blog is great… we also lived in Oregon… so rain is in my blood. I always figured that since I grew up playing in the rain I would never melt! lol… hope your family and yourself are doing well. Take care. So glad to find your sweet blog.
