Hi All! I hope you’ve all been safe and well during this crazy Covid-19 epidemic. I’ve been quite busy (my last post was in December last year!) and haven’t had a chance to post. But this morning I made time because my latest fabric collection called Madame Fleur is now available in shops/online!
Also, for those of you interested, I have a big update at the end of this post. ๐
Madame Fleur Fabrics
I did a quick search online and here’s where you can find some, as of now (April 2020)!
As a lot of you may already know, with every fabric collection I come out with I also gift all of you a FREE PATTERN! For this collection, I have two quilt patterns for you! Today, I’ll be sharing 1 of 2. Look out for the 2nd pattern next week. ๐
This pattern is called Madame Fleur Quilt and uses 9 prints from my Madame Fleur collection. 6 of these prints have subtle, gold metallic shimmer in them for a beautiful finish. You can purchase yardage HERE, or at a local online shop in Washington HERE.

Here’s some inspiration for you! If you end up making it, be sure to tag me (@QuiltingintheRain) on social media to share as I would LOVE to see it!
This collection was inspired for my love of the Victorian-era. You can read more about my inspiration and see more photos at this post.
Thank you all for stopping by my blog! ๐ I’ve been posting my latest on instagram, so pleaseย follow me there to stay up to date.
If you made it this far, I have some quick news:
Madame Fleur is my last collection for Lecien Fabrics. I’ve done a total of 5 collections for them these past 5 years. However, I will be designing for a new company…I already have a lovely collection in the works. This information will be announced soon-ish! I have to wait for them to give me the thumbs up first!
And yes, my 3rd QAYG book is well on it’s way ๐
In addition, i’ve gone back to work full-time! You’re probably thinking i’m crazy, but I felt ready and it was a good decision for me and my family.
My boys are big now and my littlest will be in kindergarten this Fall. Like I said, I felt ready whereas a year ago I was not! Things change and i’m constantly evaluating what works and what needs to change, what’s best for my family, etc.ย I’ve always been inspired to have a job that serves an important purpose – if I’m going to be working 40 hours a week, it needs to be meaningful to me. The field i’m in is for clinical research to help find ways to eliminate suffering in cancer patients (specifically, brain and breast cancer).
I’m honored to be able to play a role in this, even if it’s a small role (i’m the person that helps makes sure all the regulatory documentation is in place for a clinical study to happen safely for the patients, among other things). ๐ I of course went back to work amidst this whole pandemic so i’ve been working with both of my boys at home…timing is everything, right?ย haha!
Anyway, thanks for reading me and i hope you enjoy the pattern. Check back soon for the 2nd free pattern. Virtual hugs to you all and stay safe!
Love,
Jera

Such lovely fabrics. Best wishes on your return to work! Juggling home, work and designing these fabulous fabrics is a challenge Iโm sure but youโll rise to the occasion. Your little guys are precious.
So lovely. Good luck with your new company.
Your latest fabric collection is so pretty. I hope that the new, full-time job works out for you and your family. And, you’re going to be designing for a new fabric company. So many great things happening for you in this strange time of our lives. I wish you all the best. Please stay safe and healthy–you and your family.
I love your new fabric line. I don’t quilt anymore but I still like to see beautiful fabric. Good luck with all the new things going on with you.
this is beautiful and so is your family
Beautiful fabric and quilts! I’m already planning my quilt and was wondering if you could recommend a solid green that matches your line. Since I’m not able to match colors at a quilt store, I was hoping you could help. Thanks so much! I look forward to your book and next line.
Jera, I would like to know the brand name of your sewing machine pictured here? I love the new fabric and wish you and your family the best in your new work. Katherine
I love your quilts and fabrics. I just purchased both of your books and plan to try quilt as you go soon.
The quilt is amazing, as are your fabric collections. I can’t wait to find out which company you’ll be working with and hopefully I will be able to order your new collection for my shop! Precious pic of your boys ๐
