Healing Hearts Quilt and La Conner Blog Tour kick-off

I wanted to take a moment to blog about a couple things I thought you should know about…

First, have you heard of this Healing Hearts Quilt? 100% of the pattern proceeds will be donated to the Justin J. Watt Foundation to help those in need that were effected by Hurricane Harvey. You can find the pattern HERE and it will only be available until October 31st 2017. Thanks to Fat Quarter Shop, which is located in Texas where Hurricane Harvey hit,  for donating this pattern towards such a great cause.

Above is an example of how it would look using La Conner fabrics from my 2nd collection.

Healing Hearts pattern is a beautiful 6 page pattern that is easy to follow. I have added it to my pattern collection and can’t wait to work on it. The block pattern would make a beautiful table runner for Valentine’s Day as well.

So if you’re looking for a new project, or want to be extra prepared for Valentine’s Day, I would highly recommend this pattern which goes towards such a wonderful cause. <3

Next, (and this came up too fast!) my La Conner blog/instagram tour kicks off tomorrow, Monday Sept 18th!

In a nutshell, I will be sharing photos of some beautiful La Conner projects made by some super talented people, twice a week (Monday and Thursdays) until Oct 30th. I will be sharing these projects on my instagram as well as facebook, so be sure to follow along! When I get a chance, I will blog about it as well.

Below is the creative line up that you can blog hop along with. A lot of very talented designers and sewers! I feel so thankful (and excited!) to have them participate in this tour. It will be a lot of creative inspiration and eye candy for us all.

A lot of fun stuff will be happening in the weeks to come!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! It’s been a busy/emotional last week for me as my eldest son started kindergarten. He had a great first week and I am so proud of him.

Usually it’s me leaving to drop him off, but this morning it was Ethan leaving mama and he did it like a champ with the widest grin. What a big kid. Thanks to my mom for letting me borrow her sunglasses to hide my proud tears.

…forever my baby boy, in a Mother’s heart…

And here is E running back to a very happy mama after a long, full day at school. He gave me the biggest hug, I literally fell on my butt. I sure love this kid.

I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead. 🙂

It’s raining in Seattle today…our first substantial post-Summer rain. It’s starting to feel like Fall and I love it! 🙂
