Leukemia Quilt Auction for Ellia

I just can’t seem to sleep tonight…it’s 2 AM and I find myself writing this. I’m thinking about my friend Jenna (we used to work together) and Nathan’s 3-year old daughter, named Ellia.   She was recently diagnosed with B-all, a form of leukemia. My heart drops at the thought of this happening to anyone let alone a child. Seeing photos of Ellia on facebook sitting through her treatments is so humbling…I can’t help think what a strong girl Jenna and Nathan have, and how so very proud her parents must be.

This quote makes me think of Ellia…

That being said, I wanted to use this forum to host a quilt auction to help fund Ellia’s treatment. Here’s how it works…

Quilt Auction (ends this Friday!): This quilt auction ended on  7/28/17 – thank you!

This week I am auctioning off the quilt pictured in this post, where 100% of proceeds will go towards Ellia’s fundraiser, found here. This auction will end this Friday, July 28th at 8:00 PM. This auction is open to the world! Shipping is on me 🙂

How this Auction Works:

  1. To enter the auction, please leave a comment to this blog post with your bid amount.
  2. On Friday I will check for the highest bidder and contact them for their address. I will ship the highest bidder the quilt. In return, I ask them to donate their bid directly to Ellia’s fundraiser at this link: https://www.gofundme.com/elliayee

Thank you so much!

Please feel free to share this link with anyone you think may be interested. You of course are welcome to donate to the link above if you’re feeling the love, but please no obligations or pressure. <3  Thank you to all that participate! Below are some photos of the quilt.

This is a lovely, fresh-out-of-the-dryer and super cuddly, quilt made with love by me.  It measures 55.5″ x 66.5″.

This auction starts today (7/24/2017) and ends this Friday, the 28th at 8:00 PM. Once again, thank you to all that participate or share this. Thinking good thoughts for Ellia and all the children that go through this – she may be small but she’s big & ferocious at heart and will win this battle! Much love <3

Update: Please note that this quilt auction has ended. A heartfelt thank you to all that participated towards such an important cause. <3
