I have a gift for you all! With every collection I love to gift a free quilt pattern. 🙂 Today I’m excited to finally share my Woodland Rose quilt, and you can download the pattern for free! This quilt was made using fabrics from my 3rd collection for Lecien Fabrics called Woodland Rose. Woodland Rose is starting to ship to quilt shops now! (Nov-Dec 2018 arrival), so be sure to check your local quilt shop or your favorite online shop to get some.
A couple FUN things you should know about before the free pattern:
1. Long-Arm Discount! This quilt was quilted via free hand long-arm by Charlene Trieloff of www.TheCottonFarm.com. If you make this quilt (or ANY quilt) and would like her to finish it for you (I highly, without a doubt recommend her!) she is generously offering a 15% off discount if you mention me. Just say that Jera of Quilting in the Rain recommended you. So stop your dilly-dallying and get that quilt top finished! ;-p
2. Quilt kits!!! If you love this fabric and this quilt pattern and want to make one for yourself, Fat Quarter Shop is selling quilt kits. Hurry and grab a quilt kit HERE before they’re gone!
You can find a link to the free pattern at the very bottom of this post because that’s how I roll. ;-p I’m hoping the pretty pictures will help inspire. Plus I didn’t want you to miss photos of Paige working that badonka donk of hers and doing a fab job modeling this quilt for you all.
And now for some pretty quilt photos. Notice the lovely quilting by Charlene. Can you imagine the time and effort and love put into quilting all these little squares?!
Paige werkin’ the camera…
As mentioned above, Woodland Rose is starting to ship to stores this Nov and Dec 2018. You can already find some HERE as well.
Aaaand here ya go! As promised, you can find a link to the free Woodland Rose Quilt pattern HERE, or by clicking the pattern cover image below. I hope you love it!
If you make a quilt using this pattern, i’d love to see it! You can hashtag #WoodlandRoseQuilt on instagram, or tag me @QuiltingintheRain on instagram.
On a totally different note, I just returned from Houston Quilt Market 2018 last weekend. Here’s a pic of me at my booth sharing my 4th collection called Loyal Heights (available Spring 2019). I’ll share more pics and thoughts on my next blog post. I’ll see ya then…!

Hi, Jera!
Do you still have the Woodland Rose Fat quarter bundles? I love this fabric!
Hi Jera, I am currently making this pattern. Getting all the flying geese blocks built took the most time!! Just added the sashing on all the blocks. I will send a picture of my completed quilt as I was not able to get your fabric, so had to improvise. Thank you for sharing your pattern.
The blanket is so beautiful, when I saw the picture I had to say “wow”
