Meet Bodie (Paige’s minion)

By now i’m sure you all know Paige, my faithful sewing buddy and my #1 quilting fan. I guess when you have more than one pet, there’s always going to be the alfa. And Paige is definitely the alfa! ๐Ÿ˜‰ I laid down an almost-done quilt (thanks to Quilt as You Go!) and like usual Paige was quick to test it out. I was pleasantly surprised when Bodie came to check out the new quilt. ๐Ÿ™‚
Meet Bodie, my other furry child. Though twice the size as Paige and 2 years younger (he is almost 6), Paige is still the alfa making Bodie her minion ๐Ÿ˜‰ ย A little taller and longer than Paige, he is also a corgi. One of the sweetest and quietest corgis you’ll ever meet. Not one bad bone in his body. He’s not my sewing buddy as Paige already claimed that position (not to mention Bodie is afraid of my sewing machine). Unlike Paige who demands pets while cuddling, Bodie will cuddle for hours at a time. While quilts don’t interest him much, Bodie enjoys chewing slippers, quietly sitting outside with the breeze in his furr, and going on long walks (though he gets allergies). He’s a sweetheart.
And because Paige is the center of attention and loves my quilts, here she is again… ๐Ÿ˜‰

…and again…

Check out her freshly trimmed badonka donk ๐Ÿ˜‰

A little bit about this quilt…it’s a sneak peak of what’s to come in my book, as well as some of the other photos you may have seen me post on Facebook.ย ย It’s a Quilt as You Go take on my original Rainy Days Quilt.

Happy Quilting!

one of my friends have a corgi and she is so adorable. she loves to ham it up. she will sit up and beg for table scraps and if she doesnt get any, she will fall in the floor amd play dead, if that doesnt work, she will roll over and over and over. and finally she will lay her head on your leg and look so sad and pitiful.
love the quilt. so pretty if you ever have any ufos you want to part with, i would be glad to finish them and donate them. i have hand quilted and hane pieced over 200 quilts and given them away to charities such as cancer awareness, church raffles, neonatal intensive care center and of course the humane society. i only receive less than four hundred dollars monthly for disability and buying fabric is sadly not an option any more. keep up the great work and god bless. barbara babscorbitt@gmail.com

I just found your blog and I love it. Hope to see more of it soon. I love, love, love your helpers. I have a Boxer, and she's my sewing buddy too, and ALWAYS has to approve of what I make. Also have an ol' cat, he thinks I lay things out just for him to observe..lol Tomorrow I'm going to make the Rainy Days Quilt – using all my butterfly prints for it. I have a friend that lives in Arlington, Wa – he'd like your site – I'll forward it to him. Keep up the great work. ;o)

I tried quilting about 20 years ago and didn’t get very far with it. I was THRILLED to come across your Quilt As You Go book – I made a Rainy Day quilt, and thoroughly enjoyed doing it. I even added a patchworked strip of color to the backing where the two pieces of backing would have needed to be sewn together – just because I could! THANK YOU for your fine work and for making this hobby accessible!
