Hey everyone – Yes, I’m still alive. đ It’s crazy to think it’s been almost HALF a year since I’ve quilted…time sure does fly! For those of you that have been following me, you’ll know that on February of this year I had my son, Ethan. Well, he’s 6.5 months old now and he’s been keeping me busy!
Left: a few weeks old; Right: 6 months!
When i was pregnant, everyone kept saying to “enjoy every minute because they grow up really fast!” Now I know what everyone meant – it is so true. Ethan has grown so much. Two weeks ago he started crawling, and now he’s trying to stand up on things. Motherhood is amazing…and very time consuming, especially with a full time job…
But, things are starting to fall into place. đ I’m back with the quilting bug, and exciting and creative things are brewing for the remainder of the year!
But first thing’s first. I’ve decided to start fresh with a NEW sewing space. It’s a work in progress, but here’s what I got so far. I don’t have that much space to work with, so I’m going for a bright and organized sewing area.
It’s very plain right now. I plan on sewing curtains using Chevron fabric for the window above the desk. And I’m on the hunt for a cute stool/chair that I can reupholster with fabric of my choice.
Here’s the bookcase to the right of the desk…once I’m quilting again I want to work with these babies…
I love this organizer I got from Ikea. The drawers are so big I can see all the pretty fabrics. Yay for no more unforgotten bundles buried in my stash!
And heck yes, I kept some charm packs from my store. đ I’m a bit of a fabric hoarder if you haven’t realized that by now. đ
I hope you’re all having a great week! Until next time…(and I promise it won’t be half a year this time…;-p)
Yay welcome back, your little one is adorable!
Ethan is adorable! Glad to hear you are both doing well!

Nice to hear you back. Now and then I check your Blog. Thank you for the things you share.
Glad to see you pop up in Google reader today:) He's so cute and at such a great age…I'd say your 6.5 months was very well-spent! The sewing will be there for you always. I wanted to thank you again for the Simply Charming baby quilt tutorial…I have made several as gifts and they have turned out so cute. Such a blessing…thanks for sharing!
Welcome back. Ethan is soooo gorgeous! Time does fly and you can never get that time back when they are tiny. I stayed at home with my three children. I was lucky enough to be on such low wages it wasn't worth me going back to work!!! It was hard, we were skint, but I loved being with them. I'm looking forward to seeing what you are up to.
Love Marge xx

Welcome back! You have been missed. Ethan is soooo cute – don't blame you for staying out of the sewing room although your new one looks like fun – just keep the bottom drawers locked up. He sure looks happier today and so very loved.

A friend sent me and I'm now a follower. I'm near you. Can't wait to see what you sew!
I found your blog just as you were taking a LOA with your darling baby boy. So glad you're back! I've made your stripy pillow and it was a big hit! Can't wait to see the evolution of your sewing space as I'm in the same boat (although my 5 kids are now grown but we babysit our grandson everyday). So much fun and they grow up even faster than my kids did.
