A Corgi, a Quilt & a Cute Fabric Shop

Here’s what I did with the beautiful threads that that Cloud 9 Fabrics sent me the other week. The collection is called Koi by Rashida Coleman-Hale. It’s a scrappy take on my Rainy Days quilt, except I used my modern Quilt as You Go technique. The technique made it SO easy to do all of that intricate quilting! This was probably one of the funnest Quilt as You Go’s I’ve made so far.

And yes, this one will be in the book. ๐Ÿ™‚ Another one down. One and a halfย  more week left to complete 3 more quilt projects and bind 4 more quilts. What a month this has been!

Paige seems to approve. As soon as I laid it out for a picture she rolled right on and then fell asleep. What a Twinkie.

I timed myself on this one. It took me about 7 hours to quilt all the blocks and assemble the quilt. That’s not too bad considering it’s already quilted! The only thing left is to add backing and binding. I managed to make all of this yesterday, thanks to my son taking a super long (almost 4 hour!) nap, and another late night of quilting.

And because I don’t make enough blog posts (you’re better off following me on facebook for more updates :))…and because I know a lot of you are fabriholics as myself AND I happen to be at the fabric store constantly because of this book…I thought you might appreciate these pictures.

This is Drygoods Design, one of my favorite local fabric shops. It’s tucked behind Anchorship Coffee in a historical brick building in the Seattleย  neighborhood of Ballard. I always say it’s my little secret, though most fabriholics in Seattle have found it by now. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Oogling all these fabrics gives me inspiration. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

(thank goodness for that toy station!) As always, it was a long wait for my son ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks for stopping by! Happy (almost) Friday ๐Ÿ™‚
