Man-blanky

Forget baby blue and bouncing little bunnies…it was time my son had a man-blanky! I saw this pin-up girl fabric by Alexander Henry and just had to use it.
And whaddaya know, it also sort of has a Pacific Northwest theme to it with all of the evergreens and outdoorsy images. Being from the great Northwest, it was a no-brainer that I’d end up buying it. 😉

This man-blanky is definitely baby AND daddy-approved!

Here’s an old tutorial on how to make a baby blanky…although the man-blanky’s are totally in right now.

Hint: In your tutorial you mention cutting off the selvages. Better idea – go to the blog "The Q and the U" and see the awesome stuff Riel Nason has done with her selvages. You may never throw away a bit of selvage again!

And your baby blanket is brain-meltingly CUTE!

What a fun quilt! I just used the firemen, Christmas and cowboys pin up prints by AH Fabrics to make pillowcases for some friends for Christmas!
