Decisions Decisions!

First of all I wanted to say that my first attempt embroidering was a success, and now I am hooked! Thank you all for your embroidery tips and inspiration! And apparently Anna Maria Horner, one of my favorite fabric designers, is coming out with new embroidery kits (thanks Monica for letting me know!). You can check it out here; I’m loving the colors, and the embroidery on the fabrics << now that’s something I would have never thought of! Anyway, I plan to finish the remaining pattern that goes with the embroidery above soon…it’s a cute pillow that showcases a new fabric collection coming out in September (that Quilting in the Rain will carry 🙂 called Little Apples.

On a different note, I received beautiful fabrics for my latest Moda Bakeshop tutorial. However, since they sent me double the amount, now I can’t decide which line to use. It’s such a tough decision especially after seeing the fabrics in person!

Should I go with Summer House by Lily Ashbury?
…Or Terrain by Kate Spain???
Light and fresh, or rich and bold? Such a toughy! Thoughts?? Let me know because I plan to start sewing tomorrow! 🙂

Happy quilting!

Terrain! It's so beautiful. There's a lot of bright and fresh out there, and while I really love that look, I'm glad a few rich-colored collections have been coming out (louloutai, anyone?). That terrain is a great line. Well, they're both great lines, but you get what I'm sayin' 😉

I knew you'd get hooked on embroidery, great job 🙂 I'd go with Summer House, we need light and fresh to remind nature that it is meant to be summer 🙂

I am totally and completely in love with Summer House right now. I'm resisting buying it. Maybe it'll be my treat to myself when I get a job…

I've given this long and serious consideration, and I think you should use the Summer House and send the Terrain to me.

Summer House it is! Thanks everyone – it was a toughy! I think I'll give Terrain away as my next giveaway 😉
